A Spirit Guide is a loving being in soul form (or spirit form) that once lived upon the earth in a human form. A Spirit Guide is there to give advice, comfort, and at times, warnings and protection. Spirit Guides act as a link between us and the spirit world. A Spirit Guide assists us to connect with those who wish to communicate.
Guardian Angels are direct expressions of love from Source. Everyone has a Guardian Angel who has been with them since before conception (when we, too, are in soul form). Guardian Angels, who have never walked the earth, provide guidance, encouragement and protection. They watch over us and try to steer us in the right direction and are responsible for that “gut feeling” that made us do, or not do, something. They are committed to us for the entire journey of our life.
Both Spirit Guides and Guardian Angels bring many gifts and will not interfere with free will. Everyone has the ability to communicate with their Spirit Guides and Angels, it is not a special talent or gift! It is a matter of being open to receiving the guidance that is available to us. Working with Spirit Guides and Angels is an interactive process. It is only when we begin to develop our own intuitive skills that we become aware of our guides.
Some Guardian Angels have names like Archangel Michael, others do not, and we can give them any name that works well with our comfort level. Spirit Guides may be ascended masters or teachers, like Jesus, Buddha, or Socrates. They will identify themselves if we ask them. Learning the name of our Spirit Guide or Guardian Angel is not nearly as important as understanding (sensing) their energy presence.
